The Importance of Windshield Wiper Blade Replacement

The thing to remember about the windshield wiper blades on your car is that they wear in a number of ways, not just usage. Because the windshield wiper blades on your vehicle are made of mostly rubber elements, they don't wear just from rubbing back and forth over the glass every day. The rubber wears from oxidation and even from being in the direct sunlight.

Once the blades start to wear, they become brittle and stiff, and will no longer contact the glass fully. Each time they swipe across the glass, they now leave streaks and blurry spots, negatively impacting your ability to see ahead. To make matters worse, when you are driving in inclement weather it will be near impossible to be able to safely see the car in front of you.

Stop by The Car Store and one of our technicians can inspect your windshield wiper blades and replace them if they're worn.
