To jump start another vehicle isn't a challenging task, but some can be intimidated by the job's electrical nature. We want you to always feel safe when driving around Twin Falls, so we've created a short description of how to use jumper cables properly and safely.

Firstly, make sure that both ignitions are turned to the off position. Next, attach one of the red cables to the positive terminal, or the largest connection on your battery. The other red clip will fasten to the same position on the opposite battery. One of the black clamps attaches to the other car battery's negative connection, while the last clip is hooked onto the strut that holds your hood up.

Start your vehicle and let the engine run for a while so the other battery can charge. Try to start the other car now and drive it for at least 15 minutes before turning it off again.
